My New "Hobby"

This was the cake I made for my last class. We did the basket weave which is hard to see.
Also, I learned roses. My teacher only made one of them...can you guess which one:)?!?!?

I tell Matthew they are for him so I added the letters for Matthew, Maggie and Chris!

This cake is for the St. Thomas More "fund run" cakewalk (Matthew's School)

This one I am really proud of. I made it for Chris' assistant for a birthday. It turned out really good:)

I don't really talk about myself too much just the kiddos. Probably because I am mostly dealing with them, but I have discovered a new passion. I love making truffles but I wanted to expand the repertoire into cakes. I have wanted to take a cake decorating class since way before Maggie, but it just never came to be. Well, it worked out for me to start and I just graduated last night from Level 1! It was a 4 week course and I learned SO much. I love it and have been making cakes galore! (practice makes perfect!!) I thought I would show some of the pictures of cakes I have been making to brag just a little:) I want to thank Chris for putting up with my mad purchasing of stuff (I think we have bought out the store...it is supporting a local business though!!) And watching the kids so I can get out and have some much needed "Siri" time. Plus he is benefiting by eating the cake! Anyway, here are some and I will post more as I make them. (A side note: I will be taking Level 2 soon!!!!)

Siri, WOW! These cakes look amazing, and I'm sure they taste even better. The St. Thomas cake is so cute! I think it's wonderful that you're doing something for "You." A great hobby to have for sure :")

If you ever need someone to sample your cakes, just let me know. I just want to support you in any way I can. :-) I am in awe, my sister is good at that too and I am just awful at it, guess I know who to call now that Stefanie's closed!
