California here we come...

I wanted to post a note to say that we are going to California this weekend and I will be taking pictures so I will have some updates to post when we get back. We are going to LA initially to visit Amy, Jadon, and Baxter. Then we are travelling to Temecula to attend the wedding of Chris' cousin, Dave, and his fiancee Meghan. Then it is back to LA to finish the visit with Amy and Jadon. We are brave because we are taking the kids. We are totally going to be that family in the airport that people look at and think "Oh great, those people are on our flight!" but I have confidence in Matthew. He is a pretty good little traveller! This will be Maggie's first flight so I hope it all goes well. I hope we don't overwhelm Amy and Jadon but I know it will be fun! Until then...

P.S. My cell phone met an unfortunate fate today. I won't be able to fix the issue (aka get a new phone) before CA so please call me on Chris' phone if you need me or leave a message and I will call you back.

"I'm just a girl..."

Oh Maggie. I had to post some pictures of her today because she was looking especially cute! Her hair is getting so long and curly (I love it!) and I have to give a shout out to Lil, Kelli's mom, because she gave Maggie this ADORABLE outfit! The only problem with this whole scenario is that the outfit is 6 months...I am NOT ready for my schmoops to be in 6 month outfits. She is built exactly like Matthew, long and lean. Anyway, enjoy!

Another month has come and gone. She is sleeping pretty well at night. She only wakes up once most nights and occasionally sleeps 6 or 7 hours! (I know I really lucked out with both kids!) She is growing like a weed and I just sent some clothes that she has grown out of to my friend who is expecting a girl soon. Maggie is still suffering from acid reflux but luckily I am pretty good at snuffing it out and she is on medication. She cooes and smiles! We are having her eye sight checked on Friday as a follow up to see how bad/good it will be so keep your fingers crossed! Soon we will be taking both the kids to California for a visit to Amy and Jadon and to go to Chris' cousin's wedding! I know we are crazy but I am really excited!!!

We have had quite a few guests for the last few weeks. It has been awesome and of course I took no pictures (go figure). Anyway, we were guest free so we decided to have a relaxing weekend with no plans! Chris and I love to veg out on the weekends and drink coffee (you all know I am a total Starbucks junkie...the Hamilton/Nevada store knows me quite well) and watch TV. In fact, Chris used to not drink coffee but recently, since Maggie's arrival, is now hooked on my drink: non-fat Americano with Splenda. We took some random shots but the ones of Maggie on the bed cracked us up because she was this tiny little thing on our huge bed! We of course staged the remote...we don't start them TV watching that young. We at least wait until 4 or 5 months:) Matthew, on the other hand, would be drinking real coffee if we let him but we settle on hot chocolate every once in a while. The daily donut at the grocery store is another whole story indeed!

Girl Time

Maggie and I were spending some "girl time" together while Matthew was taking his nap today so I had to post some pictures of her. I literally get stopped every day(several times a day) by people wanting to know about her hair and how old she is etc. Currently, she is lying on the bed getting dangerously close to rolling over!!! I know that I am her mom, but I think she is the cutest baby in the world!

We travelled to Priest Lake to attend Kate Parks and Travis Dix's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony and awesome reception. It was fun to go to a wedding on our 5 year wedding anniversary (see post below) and think about my day. It made me tear up when they said their vows to think I was making mine exactly 5 years ago. Every time I go to a wedding and hear the vows (which is my favorite part) I reaffirm my vows to my husband. It was a pretty amazing evening!

I meant to post this yesterday but we actually went to a wedding. (will post those pictures) I can't believe that we have been married 5 years. On the way to the wedding (it was in Priest Lake) we were talking about all the things that we have done since we have been married: we have moved across the country twice, we have had two beautiful children, and Christopher has become partner in a dental practice. All in all, a very successful 5 years! Not that it has been all "better" without the "worse" but I wouldn't change anything for the world! I love you babe and always will:)
