Day 2
Sunday, March 28, 2010
A little of this, a little of that.

Next, I couldn't resist these adorable pictures. Sleeping pictures will never get old to me. Especially since these two can really go at it some days. They are seriously two peas in a pod;)
Of course there is Otis in there!
Finally, our 1/2 marathon training is going really well. In case you are interested, we are using the Jeff Galloway method to train for this race. So far we are loving this and having a blast! Our race day is May 15th and last weekend we ran 10 miles. I have done one 1/2 marathon before and I can tell you I have never felt so in shape and well trained. There are 3 of us (me, Chris and Kelli) training together and then we have a couple of other friends training a bit with us and a bit on their own. It is really fun to have a group of people to run with. I feel supported and challenged (in a good way) and we all are doing it together which is awesome! I guess the last piece of good news is that running is much easier when you are 24lbs lighter!!! YES I have lost 24 lbs and I am feeling amazing. My trainer (Travis) calculated that I have actually lost 32lbs of fat and gained 8lbs of muscle. My body fat has dropped 11%. I am feeling really proud of myself and happier. All in all, life is pretty good at the Herzog Household. We are just trying to have fun, live life and be healthy! Sunday, March 21, 2010
Sometimes they break my heart...

Loving the Zags in like being in a relationship. You love them, you are passionate about them, and sometimes they break your heart. I wanted them to beat Syracuse so bad but it just wasn't meant to be. I am sad, disappointed and generally feel sorry for them, but alas, it won't stop me from loving them. The Zags are a young team and I know they have it in them to win and go far but just not this season. I wish I could just kiss Matt Bouldin and squeeze his cheeks. He will do well whatever he does because is a sweet kid and a good guy. Ahhhh until next year boys.Thursday, March 18, 2010
I am 15 months old today!
This is me this morning. I woke up on the wrong side of the crib.
This is me a couple of days ago enjoying some pudding:)

So I know my mom hasn't written about me lately. She is just too busy for me I guess. Oh well I will just have to do it myself! Anyway, back to me. I am 15 months old today. Yah! I am feeling like a big girl. I know that it was posted when I started taking steps at 13 months. Well that is true and all but it really wasn't until about 3 weeks ago that I just woke up and decided "You know what? I am going to be a full time walker." It was the same day that I figured out how to crawl down the stairs. It is a relief to my mom and dad because they were all worried about me falling down the stairs blah blah blah. I have tumbled down a couple of times but nothing serious! I am just as sassy as ever and now I can finally wear all of those dresses that my mom has bought me but didn't want to ruin by all of my crawling. I am getting really tall and I am really good at problem solving. I like to figure out how to climb on top of things like the couch and chairs. It is really fun! My brother and I sometimes fight but we really love each other. I babble constantly and sometimes say words. I am proud to announce that I can handle goat's milk which sounds nasty, but since my mom has similar tummy issues with milk, she has actually tried it and likes it! This means I am down to one bottle a day! YEAH! Well I just wanted to let you all know that I am doing well and share some new pictures! Bye TTYL ~Maggie aka Noodle (GO ZAGS!)Tuesday, March 16, 2010
IT"S MARCH MADNESS TIME!
Beau Dix is 2

I did a new cake a some cupcakes for Beau's 2nd birthday. Sarah wanted Curious George so I delivered! I went back ol' school and did some piping. He really liked it:) I also made the monkey cupcakes for his birthday. The last couple of pictures are from the actual party. It was at David's pizza and we had a great time!Thursday, March 11, 2010
Party Like a Rockstar!
Chris and I went to Vegas for the WCC Tourney last weekend. We had SO MUCH FUN! We left the kids with my parents and partied like we were 21 again ALL WEEKEND! Amy and Jadon met us down there for a couple of days and then we went to the games with D and Richie Wells. We lived the anit-parent life for a couple of days and it was worth all of the detoxing and feelings of being exhausted now. Chris and I needed it to reconnect and just be free. Unfortunately the Zags did not win the WCC championship (grrrrr Omar) but it was fun all the same. PS There is indeed a 75 lane bowling alley up 1 floor at the Orleans hotel which is where the games were held. We figured since the cab line was LONG and we weren't hungry (at 9 o'clock but we ate at midnight that night!) we would bowl and drink beer! Awesome time except that I totally suck at bowling. There was a man in a wheel chair next to us bowling better than I did!

"Sweet" ditties from Matthew

Take one good look at the face...this child lately has been testing the out limits of my patience and winning 9 times out of 10. Today we had two good instances of this. First, I just want to say that I will be the first to admit that I have a TERRIBLE potty mouth. I know it is a problem and it has gotten better but sometimes, especially when I am driving, it sneaks up on me. Well, lately Matthew has been saying things here and there to see if I am truly listening. I don't know if it is held over from my teaching days but I hear things; it is just that sometimes I choose not to respond. This morning I am getting him in the car and he says to a car driving away, "I cannot believe that our neighbor is driving away *pause* I cannot believe that our neighbor is driving away." (when I still did not answer him because really who cares that our neighbor is driving away) *pause* "I cannot *expletive beginning with f* believe that our neighbor is driving away!" I was like "excuse me!" That certainly got my attention. Then (oh yes there was another incident today) we went to Rosauers for some groceries. Well luckily they know us because we are there like every day and we were rolling past the Butcher's. There is the nicest man behind the counter and he always asks Matthew is he can have some of his donut. Well obviously Matthew is in a silly mood and they start bantering with each other. Then Matthew throws down: "I am going to kick you in the wiener!" Oh Lord...embarrassment for me! But the butcher thought is was HILARIOUS! Thank God he has a sense of humor! Anyway, I was mortified and he is currently having "quiet time" in his room, but Kelli said I had to post this because she was dying as I was telling her the stories. Thank God for friends too!!!!!
