Edmonds or ...BUST:(

Literally I just took this picture...as I was uploading photos he was sacked out!

Chris' pumpkin. You can't totally tell, but it has anatomically correct teeth!
Matthew's loot. Notice the smarties on top of the ritz crackers! We let him have a free for all and then put away tomorrow! He's mostly into chocolate candy if you couldn't tell!

She is eating a nutragrain bar but the camera must have flashed on it and the auto correct fixed it...funny!

Under the weather girls!

Well we were supposed to go visit my family this weekend. I was so excited about spending Halloween trick-or-treating in downtown Edmonds and then wrapping up the evening having dinner with my sister BUT Maggie had other plans for us. Thursday she threw up all over Matthew's classroom during his Halloween party. Nice. 11 3yr olds watching as I am getting thrown up on:) and then all day she was pretty run down. I had it coming on the other end and was feeling pretty run down myself. Friday morning she seemed fine and literally Chris and I were talking about packing up to leave and then she vomited all over me. Anyway, the good news is she is feeling better. But the bad news is we missed Halloween. So we decided to keep it easy and just carve a pumpkin. Oh well...there is always next year!

Gavin's Birthday Cake

Here is another cake I did for a first birthday. The big monkey is a cake pan but I added the cupcakes for balloons. The little monkey head I did just for Gavin and I make that and carved it from one 6 inch pan and a cupcake for the ears. I piped it to look like the big monkey. I think they were pretty happy with it!

The Proof is in the video

Well Maggie is quite the blogger. I am surprised it only took her 10 months! Anyway, a couple of things she failed to mention about herself (surprisingly) is she LOVES to stroke hair. My hair, her hair; it really doesn't matter. She twirls her signature pony tail around her fingers and when she is tired, she either twirls her own hair or, if my hair is down, twirls mine. It is quite cute. (On a side note: it is quite funny how many people ask me if I do different styles with her hair. I don't mean to be crass here but have you ever tried to do a 10 month old's hair? It is not easy and you only get one shot. This is why it is mostly just a pony!) Anyway, she also shakes her head for "no, no". Hmmmmm. Matthew did not do this until he was MUCH older. Probably because she has heard it so much more. Tonight for dinner, I made a chicken and rice casserole. She ate that thing like she has never eaten before!!! Crazy. Anyway, here is a video of her just doing her thing. This really show case her screaming talents. Enjoy! (I shot it while holding her so that is why the angle is weird!)

I am Ten Months old!!!

I am officially hijacking this post. My mom means well but let's face it: she is just my mom!! I am such a big girl now and I can do all sorts of things by myself. If she doesn't let me have my way I just scream at the top of my lungs. She did drop my full name the other day...I mean Margaret and all but whatever! I am at least cute:) I can pull myself up where ever and I am getting pretty good at it. So good in fact that I may start trying to stand on my own here but we'll see. I like to keep her on her toes at least! I like to copy all sorts of sounds and I try to say "hy-ya" (like a karate chop). I still love my brother even though he tries to beat me up and wrestle me, but what he doesn't realize is that soon I will kick the crap out of him. Watch out! Anyway, my first birthday is fast approaching and it is going to be a princess theme...fitting I would say!!! Well I am going to go because it is my bed time but I just wanted to update you on me. Bye!!! xoxo Maggie

This picture (above) is my sassy face!

My newest cake

I know that many of you will laugh at me because you know that I love Starbucks probably more than I love my children. No not really more than that but it definitely ranks up there! Anyway, I have been needing to practice more cakes and last week was a bit busy so this week it was my goal to make a cake for my baristas. I used the new Via in the middle and tried to make it look like a cup. It is very difficult to pipe that mermaid and I am not very artistic in that way so it was a challenge but I am satisfied with the way it turned out!
PS. They loved it and I got a free coffee!!

Happy Birthday Babe!

This is the very specific black forrest cake that he wanted! It was yummy. And yes I made it!

Don't they just look so cute!!!!

What the heck! I am such a bad wife. I didn't even get this post ready for his actual birthday (which was yesterday). In fact, last night we were laughing (after a very long day) that it doesn't even really feel like his birthday. We are so wrapped up in the kids that it didn't seem all that different from any other day. We did make it out to dinner and the kids were actually pretty good! Anyway, happy birthday babe! I love you very much and you are 33 years young to me!!! Here are some cute pictures;)

5 Miles BABY!

This very cold morning (22* to be exact) Kelli, D, and I thought it would be a great idea to run in a 5 mile race. It was a very challenging race, personally, because my cardio was great but my legs didn't want to cooperate. I felt like my lungs were going to explode from the cold but hey, I finished in about an hour (very typical pace for me) and I was proud of myself for doing it!

Greenbluff!!!

Seriously, I love Greenbluff. I love the pumpkins, I love the pony rides and I LOVE the pumpkin doughnuts and turnovers from Harvest House. I know it is basically open all year round, but I love saving the special trips for the fall. It is so much fun now the Matthew is a bit older and can appreciate all that it has to offer. Maggie is a bit young but it was still fun getting all bundled up and heading up there. I am going to have to work out for a long time for the damage I did but it was all worth it!
