Today was one of those day where I didn't have much planned but to relax and clean out the car. Well thank goodness because our power went out at 11:15 am and didn't come back on for 5 hours! Luckily, it wasn't a total scorcher today because we played outside all day with our neighbors, rode bikes and had otter pops. I had been meaning to catch up with my neighbor, Kelli, for a week now so it was the perfect opportunity to sit and chat on the lawn while the kids played. I went to take a quick shower (assuming the water would be cold) and told Matthew to just play while I showered (usually he watches a quick show and Maggie was asleep). Well much to my delight the power came on right as I stepped in so it was warm and when I got out, it was unusually quiet...I came downstairs to find Matthew sacked out on the couch!!! I guess all the playing wore him out! It was so cute so I had to take a picture. Thanks for the great day Kelli, Olivia and Nolan!

I actually loved it that we were forced to just relax, stop what we were doing and play with our kids/ No phone, TV, computer...just the simplicity of life =) It was a great day, aside from me trying to get ready for work without power. AND it was nice to finally catch up!
