Well we have a thumb sucker...and a BOY!

Legs

Sucking his thumb and rubbing his head...or hair!

It's a BOY!

Sweet Boy

Not a shock for me that we are having another boy.  I have been suspecting it since pretty much the beginning!  Good to finally know and I am having my big 20 week ultrasound in 3ish weeks so that will confirm it again!  So far though I got an A+ today from the tech and my Dr because Sparky was healthy, my blood clot disappeared and I haven't gained too much weight!  Yay for me!  (not that I really care about the weight but for health reasons).  Just really thankful that I have a healthy baby and so far so good.  Now I just have to get the room ready and come up with a name...that may be the surprise!  I mean we can't let everything out can we;)  Will post belly pictures soon.  Need someone better than Matthew to take them!

SNOW DAY!

It has been pretty boring around here which is why I haven't blogged in a bit.  Just trying to clean out everything to prepare for Sparky and anxiously waiting to find out if it is a boy/girl!  We were finally hit with the winter that we were promised which resulted in a snow day last Friday.  I am not going to lie, it was the best day ever! I had a few things on my agenda and they got cancelled which was so nice.  Chris was stuck in Seattle Thursday night and finally made it home Friday so it was so nice to have us all home with nothing to do.  The kids begged to play in the snow and so we got them all bundled up and out they went.  It was so nice to tidy up around the house without them underfoot.  Sometimes in the winter time I feel so guilty because I feel like I turn on the tv to distract while I get chores done.  I didn't feel guilty Friday (or the weekend) because they played and got fresh air!  I took a couple of pictures because Maggie was cracking me up in her snow suit.  BTW the countdown to Hawaii 2012 has begun!  Whoot Whoo!
Matthew was helping Chris shovel snow!

Too Cute!

Mt. Spokane

Friday night, Dave and Jess invited us up to their condo at Mt. Spokane to spend the night since the kids had an early race Saturday morning.  I always know it is going to be fun but I also know there will be little sleep involved!  Matthew gets really excited to play with Max and Jack and they stayed up late playing video games.  Apparently, Jack doesn't require a lot of sleep because I heard him get up Saturday morning about 4am to play video games.  He woke Matthew up to play with him and then Dave got them back to sleep.  Needless to say, they were pretty tired when we woke them up at 7am to get ready to race.  Matthew did pretty well for his first official race and the fact that the snow was like an ice rink (due to the fact that it hadn't snowed in so long).  We captured it on video but I need to figure out how to upload it to the computer.  We had tickets to the GU game Saturday night so we packed it up and headed home.  Both the kids fell asleep in the car and continued to sleep and Chris and I got ready for the game.  (Hence the picture) When we went to put them back in the car to drop them at Oma and Opa's all hell broke loose.  Maggie woke up crying (and if you know Maggie her cry is like a death wail), then Matthew woke up crying and covering his ears because Maggie was crying.  It was all due to the fact that they were overly tired, but the point of the story is that I was cracking up in the car and I said to Chris "Poor Sparky doesn't have a chance in hell with these two!"  I can't even imagine 3 kids crying in the car!  I guess it will be our reality soon:)  People have been asking me how I have been feeling and honestly, I have been more sick than I was with Matthew but WAY less sick than I was with Maggie.  It makes me wonder about Sparky's personality and how he/she will fit-in in our family!  I get more excited every day to meet this little person!  I just hope Sparky is a great sleeper or I will have to get some headphones!  Hahaha

This Girl is Tu Tu Much!

After 4 months of bribes, talking about it almost every day, and using it as leverage when she is bad, the day has finally arrived!  BALLET CLASS DAY!  I swear Maggie has been more excited about this than anything.  I honestly don't know how she became interested in ballet (I guess the same way Matthew did about trains) but she was ready in the fall.  Unfortunately, she had to be 3 to join the class, not that I blame the teacher, so it was the perfect starting point since she turned 3 mid December.  Yesterday, I took her to Empire Dance to deck her out in shoes (ballet and tap), tights, a leotard, and wrap sweater.  The owner of the store was the sweetest man who was SO incredibly nice and helped Maggie, putting up with her sassy attitude.  He even let her help bag the merchandise. I can't believe that I got her hair in a bun but seriously, this girl would do anything for her class.  It is a tap/ballet split which is perfect for the 3-5 age range.  She is the youngest but not the smallest and I was so proud of her.  She did talk a little but the teacher was so nice yet firm and it was perfect for her.  Of course she has no coordination yet but she followed the directions as best as she could.  The whole thing was a full circle moment for me and I almost cried watching her.  (Of course hormones are highly elevated).  I just remember how happy I was when I danced (granted I was 8 when I started because my mother tried sports first ahem thanks mom) and watching her made me so happy because she was so happy.  She didn't want to leave but I assured her that it is every Tuesday so don't worry!  I will try and get some more pictures and video to upload in the future.  My little girl is growing up!  Crazy:)
