Lincoln Rock-2 vs. Maggie-0

Wow what a week.  I was hoping to have this great post with all of these fabulous pictures of our 2nd annual Lincoln Rock camping trip.  Well obviously life had other plans for us this week.  I am sad to say that I didn't get one stinking picture of our 36 hour adventure:(  Anyway, we packed up Monday for a week long vacation to Wenatchee, specifically Lincoln Rock to camp with my family.  We got there and all was well Monday (we even had dinner in town with some friends that live there) but then Tuesday, after Maggie's nap things went downhill.  She woke up very hot and didn't eat lunch.  Then she proceeded to throw up and spike a fever.  We went into town and got her some Motrin and she seemed a little better.  Tuesday night we went to bed and she was very restless.  I climbed into bed next to her and her temperature went up and she started talking nonsense and totally hallucinated that there was someone next to us and cried for me to turn on the light!  I was pretty freaked out at 3 am with the prospect of having to take her to the ER in a town that I barely knew.  I wanted to drive home right then to go to SHMC but obviously 3 am is not a safe time to make a 3 hour drive with no sleep.  I finally was able to give her another dose of medicine after she threw up again, and she fell into a deep sleep.  Needless to say, we woke up Wednesday, packed up, and left.  She broke her temperature by the morning but I wasn't going to take any chances.  She is MUCH better today!  She had a bit of diarrhea but we were able to get Pedialyte down her so she stayed hydrated.  It totally sucks because last year we made it to the end of the trip but she got hand, foot, mouth and was miserable the last day!  What is going on with Lincoln Rock and my daughter?!?!?  I have to shout out to Pedialyte because those packets that you can mix with a water bottle that taste EXACTLY like apple juice were our lifesaver!  Those were the only thing she ate/drank for 2 days.  Hopefully, the rest of us are in the clear...we will keep our fingers crossed.  I try to look for the silver lining in everything so I have been cleaning out my closet, doing laundry and organizing.  We were able to spend Oma's birthday with her so that was awesome.  I am sad but maybe in a couple of years we will try it again?!  (I am going to have to convince Chris of this because he is pretty much done with it all!  hahaha)
