The Fair
Well I did something today that I have never done before...I went to the Spokane Fair! I am going to be honest, large groups of people in any setting freak me out and I wasn't sure about all of the animals, rides and people all mixed into one. My friend, Nicole talked me into it so we decided to go on a Thursday right when it opened. I actually had a lot of fun and Matthew was totally digging it! Maggie wasn't really quite sure what was going on but she had fun. The rides weren't open...(oh darn) but I promised Matthew that we could go back sometime and ride them (maybe next year?!?!?)

Polo 2010
We went to the polo tournament again this year. It was really fun to get dressed up and wear hats and drink wine (maybe a bit too much!) all for a good cause! I donated a cake to the event and it went for $90!! I couldn't believe it! Anyway, I got a few good shots this year:)

TERESE'S WEDDING!!!!
Here is the culmination of the two weeks in Seattle! It was an amazing wedding and I felt so blessed to be a part of it. There are a ton of pictures so I put them in a slide show!!! We had so much fun and I can't believe it is all over. Yes, I did make the cake and I was very proud of it. I was also a bridesmaid and like I said, I was so incredibly honored to stand up next to one of my very best friends and watch her marry the man she loves! I am seriously tearing up just typing this. Anyway, enjoy the shots:)
Sammy's Birthday
My nephew, Sam, turned 10 while I was visiting and so we had a couple of parties for him. He had a friend party where he went bowling and out to lunch and a family dinner party! Matthew and I got to tag along for his friend party. We had so much fun bowling even though Matthew couldn't really even pick up a 6 lb ball!!!! Here are the highlights from both parties!

The Zoo and Maggie's 1st hair cut!
I will put these together even though they absolutely have nothing to do with each other!!
So, Chris and I got back to Seattle Sunday night after a quick East coast trip and he flew directly back home to work all week, while I stayed with my parents. The cool thing is that my mom had the week off so we started it off with a trip to the Zoo!!! I haven't been in a couple of years but it was so fun to see Matthew just enjoying every minute of it! Maggie is still a tad young but she liked it too. We got there right when it opened and stayed for about 3 hours. We ended it by letting the kids play in the indoor play area and that was perfect because they were winding down and the zoo was getting busy. We met my friend Becky there and she and I talked while my mom chased after the kids:) (Thanks Mom!) It was really fun and I can't wait to take them back when Maggie is a tad older!!!
The next exciting event of the week was Maggie getting her first official HAIR CUT!!! I always swore that I wouldn't do it but it was looking a bit scraggly and it was impossible to do and comb through (even with the de-tangler). As my sister put it "She has the hair of a four year old!" Which is so true! It was just too much. I was very excited that Rachel, my sister and Maggie's god mother, had the honor of giving it to her! She was actually quite good, which had to do with my mom feeding her m&m's! I am SO happy with it and it looks so much better. She cut off almost 2 inches from the back and now it is even with the sides. It is not a struggle to comb anymore and it is just as curly! Thanks Auntie RaRa!

Here she goes:) |
The first weekend, we drove to Seattle on Thursday, dropped the kids off with my parents, and took the red eye to Western MA. We attended the wedding of Laurie and Jason. Laurie was a resident in Columbus, OH the year above Chris. All of the people in her class became pretty close with Chris so it was a reunion of sorts. Also, Laurie lived in the apartment complex that we lived in and was really my first friend in Columbus. She spent a lot of time with us and watched Otis for us when we went on trips. It was so good to see her and everyone there. It was a GREAT wedding and Chris and I danced the night away!!! The thing that struck me about East Hampton, was it was so green and luscious. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't that. I guess I just figured that all of Massachusetts was Boston, but I should know better after having lived in Western and Eastern WA!!! *I am still working on learning this new blog design so I apologize for not having more captions:(
