Bachelorette Blowout

This is the view. Mt Ranier is in the background!
Friday afternoon...we are looking pretty good!
The Bride!

Day 2: morning...yes that is a pitcher of mimosa's!

Even Parker made it for the festivities!
Still holding strong but getting a bit buzzed!
Ok day 2 later...hmmmm!
This weekend, I went to Key Peninsula and had an amazing time celebrating the bachelorette party for Terese. I am not going to lie, when I first found out we would be camping, I was less than enthusiastic but it ended up being one of the best parties I have ever been too. We drank (a lot), we laughed, we laughed and we drank! (hmmmm a theme!?) I can't show 99% of the pictures online, but there are a few good ones!

Tiana part 2...

I had to take a picture of Chris' dirty icing job...he is the best!
I did the cupcakes too!
SOOOOO...you have to love facebook!!! I posted the pictures of princess Tiana and a friend from college who lives here in Spokane wrote me and said "what do I have to do to get one of those for my daughter?" We communicated that night (mind you that was Thursday) and the party was Saturday. Well of course I said yes! I couldn't disappoint a 4 year old right?! I did it again and I was glad because I found a more efficient way of putting the cake together. Chris of course is my #1 sous chef and he was a huge help! Here are pictures of this one:)

Olivia turns 6!

Olivia blowing out her candles
Chris and Richie filling up water balloons
Maggie and her sassy self!
Opening gifts...she was VERY enthusiastic!

Maggie loves strollers and Mitch didn't seem to mind!
The zip line...very popular!

She is pretty obsessed with the Ruff twins...hmmm who to choose?!
The big ol' slide!
Kelli's parents
We went to a wonderful birthday party last Wednesday for Olivia our dear friend and neighbor. We had a blast between the pinata, zip line, and big slide:) I had the privilege/pleasure of making her cake. She wanted Princess and a frog theme. I already posted those pictures of the cake but here are some fun ones of the party!

A Princess, Frogs and a Cosmo!

We did girl and boy frogs!

I was a busy girl this week! I made a Tiana cake for dear Olivia's birthday and some frog cupcakes (well they were a group effort!) I have a ton of pictures of Olivia's birthday party but that will be for another post. Then I received a call for a martini cake for a woman turning 50! I was excited to make this cake for her and had a lot of fun doing it.

Some More Cakes

I had a couple of cakes last week. This one was cool. It was for a 3 yr old birthday and he wanted an AR 15 rifle. It was fun to do and surprisingly detail oriented!

This cake was for a wedding. The bride was a bit older (50's) and really wanted purple flowers everywhere. Well not to let all of my secrets out but I was having fondant issues and to cover it up, I made a bunch of cascading, purple flowers. I am not sure how I felt about the cake in the end. I guess it is not totally my style, but the bride loved it and I saved myself from throwing away and good piece of fondant. I always chalk every cake up to a learning experience and this was definitely one of those times. Next up: a princess, frogs and a martini glass!!! Yah!

Actually, not bad!

I found another ice cream type product that Maggie can eat and it actually tastes really good. The true test is if Matthew will eat it and he did!
