Bath Time

Maggie is in the 99% for her height, so needless to say, she is not liking her "baby bath" anymore. She can kind of sit up but not well enough to sit in a bath tub so we went and bought her a bath seat. She looks so cute and now she and Matthew can take baths together. She loved it and he didn't seem to mind too much!

We are lucky enough to be friends with some really good people, the Dix's. This weekend they had us out to their family's cabin on Hayden lake and it was really fun!! We swam, boated, roasted marshmallows and just hung out. Here are some highlight pictures.

Yes...I did it...

Finally got the shot

These next few are just of her awesome hair!!!

I always knew that if I had a girl, I would pierce her ears. I was never really sure why I wanted to do it but I knew I did. Well I was having a conversation not too long ago with my friend Travis (aka trainer aka therapist;)) and he was struggling with the fact that his 6 yr old wants to get her ears pierced. I asked him why he was resistant to the idea, and he said "because I am not ready for my little girl to grow up." and then it hit me...neither am I and that is exactly why I am doing it now. This way I am *hoping* to buy myself a few extra years between the ear piercing phase and makeup. So the next day we went and did it. Maggie looks ADORABLE with her little pearls. Of course she cried and I felt a bit guilty because it was cosmetic and not pain from say shots that protect her but she got over it. Phew...maybe I bought myself a few years?!?!?!?!? (let's be real...)

Friends

RC and Rocky playing away!
Olivia

Matthew, Olivia, and Ella

Nolan LOVED Matthew's digger.

We had a last minute BBQ on Friday and it was so much fun. The new thing in our neighborhood this summer is to ride bikes all around. It is crazy how all the kids have blossomed and they are all big enough to just ride around. The weather was a bit touchy but it was nice enough for us to BBQ, play outside, and then the kids rode bikes. After we brought Matthew in to get ready for bed, it started thunder and lightening! CRAZY! Otis was SO freaked out. It is ironic how when you plan ahead, no one can ever get together, but the last minute stuff just works out and is so much fun. I love watching the kids play and it brings up memories of when my parents would have dinner parties and we would play for hours outside! It is some of my favorite memories growing up. I hope we can do it again soon:) (Let's not plan on it;))

3 years old, and 6 months old!

Seriously Matthew fell asleep like this!

I know Matthew's birthday was almost 2 months ago, but we had his 3 year check up and Maggie's 6 month well baby check up yesterday. Here's the run down: Matthew: 35 lbs 39 inches tall. He is in great health and actually peed in the cup! (We are about 90% with the potty training!) Maggie: 15 lbs 9 oz, 28.5 inches. She is in great health as well and finally I could check off the yes box for every question on the milestone sheet that they give you! She is rolling all around and almost sitting up on her own! She still is refluxing a bit but not as bad. We finally determined that the blood she was having in her stool in Hawaii was caused by a virus and happens when she gets a bit constipated so we feed her food that doesn't back her up! (I know TMI!) She is eating 2 meals of baby food a day and loving most of it! She LOVES her brother and just lights up when he plays with her. We are getting her eyes dilated again in August so we will know more then but she seems to see fine and plays and grabs for everything! So far so good!

Do you know the way to San Jose la la la la....

Amy and Maggie

Karen (MOH), Amy and me

Let the wedding festivities begin!!!!! Amy is getting married in August and this past weekend was her bridal shower. Maggie and I went down for it and had a blast! We stayed with Karen, the maid of honor, and we realized we were long lost sisters! Maggie was such a trooper and didn't fuss once. She was a perfect angel on the trip (which is a bit more difficult when you are traveling alone with an infant!) but I was lucky to sit next to understanding people who didn't complain too much when she took up a bit of their arm space. I cannot WAIT until the end of July when we go to Palm Springs for the bachelorette party and of course for August 22nd when the BIG DAY occurs!!! Amy and Jadon are the best:)

Vegas Baby!

SURPRISE!!
She was perfect on the airplane.

We went to Las Vegas the first weekend in June to surprise Terese for her 30th birthday. We just took Maggie and we had a blast! Terese was really surprised and it was a mini couples vacation for me and Chris since we were without Matthew. It was my first time staying at Mandalay Bay and it was super nice:)

Brother/Sister Love

Matthew is so good with Maggie. He can get her to giggle like no other. She just adores him. I am going to save this video for when they are older as proof:)

Our New Play Toy

We recently made an addition to the house. We decided to put in a super sweet play toy from Costco. Our friend, Jeremy, put it in for us and let me tell you, he worked his tail off! He started by building a retaining wall, moving a tree and hauling 10 yards of cedar chips to the site. Then he built the totally awesome play toy! Matthew is so excited and we know it will get a lot of use in the years to come!

More Pictures from Hawaii

Of course we think we are being so funny...I am sure she appreciated it:)
Cute picture despite Matthew sticking out his tongue.

Where's the beach Matthew?

My mom took some great shots in Hawaii that I didn't get. She made me a CD and sent it to me so I decided to post some.
