I am starting off the new year with something new. Besides adding to our family, I wanted to start a blog with pictures to keep everyone updated! Maggie was born on 12/18/08 weighing in at 8lbs 5oz (which was the same as Matthew!). She was a scheduled c-section, but her birth was quite exciting! We had a record 30in of snow and they almost weren't going to let me have her. The hospital was in emergency mode and no elective surgeries were supposed to occur that day. I was literally sitting on the table waiting for the all clear from the hospital administration. My doctor told me that he had put chains on his truck the night before because he knew that I was going to be here (obviously he got to know me well!). After a few minutes, they gave me the go ahead and here she is! She had to go to the NICU for a couple of days because she had low blood sugar but she is doing well now. Matthew loves her and he is still getting used to her but I know they will be great friends:) Here are some pictures from the hospital and the first few days home.
